Plan your visit
Tours last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. Add 1-2 hours for border crossings if coming from Zimbabwe.
The pool is strictly seasonal. It normally opens from mid-August to late December during low water.
You take a 10-minute boat ride from the Dry Manzi jetty. This is the only permitted route.
Official prices range from $149 to $209. Platform prices change based on added transfers and fees.
Devil's Pool formed over thousands of years through water erosion. It sits directly on the edge of Victoria Falls. The pool is approximately 3 meters (10 feet) deep. A submerged rock wall acts as a barrier to keep swimmers safe.
You can only access the pool by visiting Livingstone Island. Tours launch from the Zambian riverbank. The river flows too fast for safe swimming during peak season. When water levels drop in mid-August, the pool opens to visitors.
Guides lead every group to ensure safety. Check our guide on Packing Guide to pack correctly. If you visit early in the dry season, you might swim in Angel's Pool instead.

We detail whether the tour includes breakfast, lunch, or high tea.
We highlight which options include hotel pickups from Livingstone or Victoria Falls.
We note when tours cap passenger numbers for a better experience.

The organisation of the tour was top notch and my guide Jonas was professional, friendly and humble. I enjoyed everything and Most importantly it was worth my money and time, Emmanuel was good at organising everything he is the best and very reliable, I will forever recommend them
Amazing experience. If you want a reliable, friendly company to organise your tours I can highly recommend Cherish Tours, nothing was too much trouble and they definitely went above and beyond.
Absolutely amazing experience, a real must do in Victoria Falls The whole trip from the speedboat to the trek across the water to sitting on the edge of the falls The guides took great care of us and took the most amazing photos and videos And a delicious breakfast to follow
Wow! What an amazing experience! My only comment would be that companies need to update their pick up points as new accommodation places become available- this created some confusion for us. The actual day was amazing!
Absolutely incredible experience, couldn’t recommend this enough! We did the breakfast tour. Water shoes would be ideal, but it wasn’t the end of the world without them!
An once in a lifetime experience we booked with Galapa safaris and the team is excellent and professional me and my colleagues enjoyed and we will recommend family and friends in Canada.
One of the best activities we have ever done is the swim in Zambia livingstone which is the devil's pool and it was stunning and breathtaking
WOW!! Such a breathtaking experience. Went with our 10-year old daughter and she loved it. The staff is super friendly and they make you feel very safe. You absolutely must do this!
Owen’s team took care of us, to include last minute changes to reservations, last-minute airport service, and assistance getting across the border to Zimbabwe for activities. We recommend them to all of our friends.
