Livingstone Island at Victoria Falls

Livingstone Island is the mandatory starting point for all Devil's Pool swims. You reach it via a 10-minute guided boat trip from the Zambian riverbank.

All tours begin at the Livingstone Island Launch Site (Dry Manzi jetty) upstream of the falls. A short boat ride transports you to the exact location where David Livingstone first viewed the falls in 1855. From this base, guides lead you safely to the edge pools.

You must be at least 8 years old to visit the island. Access is highly restricted by Green Safaris, with a maximum of 32 guests permitted per session to protect the local environment.
